Flour Bluff Junior High School school serves students in the seventh and eighth grades and is part of the Flour Bluff Independent School District, which was formed in 1937. The district covers more than 150 square miles and enrolls over 5,600 students. Including the junior high, the district manages six educational facilities on the same campus along with several athletic fields and facilities. The school prepares its students for both high school and college with its challenging academics and electives. The curriculum is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills guidelines and is learner-centered. The school features more than 50 classrooms, a cafeteria, gymnasium, library, band and choir rooms, as well as science labs. Extracurriculars include art club, student council, robotics club, and the National Junior Honor Society. There are also fine arts courses and athletics such as basketball, cross country, swimming and tennis. No uniforms are required, and transportation to and from campus is provided for qualifying students.

Staff too busy worrying about everything except the child's education. Emphasis on who took an MP3 player and keeping children in 'office' vs the classroom.
