Corydon Central is a good school for a community if you are welcomed into that community aspect it is really a enjoyable place; fun teachers, engaging coursework, decent lunches. Though sometimes when someone is not accepted into this tight community they can see the worse parts of Corydon. But the school is a wonderful place to expose yourself to real world experiences.

I would describe my experience at Corydon Central High School the same as most high school students. You have the parts you like and the parts you don't like but this year has been different from the other years as one of my fellow classmates passed in a shooting at a festival. I believe my school handled the loss in the best way they could. They gave those that knew our classmate a place to go when the day was a little too hard. They allowed all of us to mourn and didn't rush anyone in their process. But they also knew we couldn't mourn forever and had to move forward. Some teachers gave us light work as they felt none of us were in the mental state to work and some teachers continued like normal but were understanding of those that didn't feel up to it yet.

This school has been rated an A by the state of Indiana for several years. These reviews are somewhat outdated in many cases. This school in no way prepares your child for college. There are some very good teachers but they are few and far between.

As a student of this school, I am alarmed with the other positive reviews. The administrators worry more about keeping in tight with the school board members than the integrity of their schools. There are so many simple fixes that could take place here, but the principal tries to make radical, count...
