The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

The best part of my experience at PWBHS is getting the opportunity to learn and grow with people who look like me. The worst part of my experience is that my school is a low income school and is not afforded the best quality teachers. I often feel I am at a disadvantage in comparison to the higher income schools.

They did not have good ways to discipline the kids apart of the African American community. Students received much backlash from administrators caused by only a few students. The whole school in itself was punished and made feel uncomfortable in the learning place.
The administrators and department chairs at this school are focused on teacher and student success. From day one I have been supported; every stakeholder from the top down has been by my room to visit and offer guidance or support.Teacher (2015-Present)
This school does not take time to get to know children who have IEPS. They are quickly judged by the principal and gotten rid of. If your child has an IEP, stay away from this school. The administration has no compassion for our kids
