Most of my teachers were understanding, but I never felt a real connection. The administration was always changing, and never for the better. The guidance counselors served no real purpose to the students.

The best part about my 3 1/2 years at Cozad High have been the sports and support from some of the teachers. Some of the worst parts are the feeling that teachers don't care and have many favorites. I would like to see the sport opportunity change. I feel like there is not enough opportunity at Cozad.

Building is showing obvious signs of age. The school's library had major water damage during a storm in spring 2019 and many ceiling tiles around the building are discolored. Small class sizes are nice. Unfortunately the school uses Chromebook for most classes and it can be hard to use them with the spotty WiFi (it's a concrete and steel building after all). Good teachers for the most part. Sports are valued far above academics and it shows. Limited options for extracurricular activities. School food quality has not increased in the last 6 years or so.
