GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a great school, but being in the rural south has its disadvantages. The facilities could be better but the teachers and their care for the students is remarkable.

As a student of West Point High School, I love the closeness of everyone. I have attended West Point since kindergarten. Most of my friends have been my friends since the beginning. But I have made new relationships and friends throughout the years. If I could change one thing about my school it would be to fund the arts programs the same as the sports programs. Our school does support the arts program but sports are very clearly favored.

I loved the atmosphere of the school. The teachers know us all by name. I learned many things that I will carry with me forever. One thing they could change is give all of the sports teams and clubs the same amount of recognition for their achievements
