GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At cumberland I believe they do a great job at preparing us for our future and for college. However there are quite a few flaws like any other school. One thing I would change would be the food selection since it is very repetitive. I would also like more staff. There are many subjects and classes left without a teacher and this is just not good for harder subjects like chemistry. Chemistry last year was very challenging and me being a Dual Enrollment student did not help. On top of us being short on teachers we are also short on substitutes and many teachers have to end up covering during their planning period. I also wish we had less classes. We have 7 classes total about 50 min each and thats just enough time to get work done for some people. Especially for students who work and play sports.

Cumberland High School is a very diverse school with a relatively small amount of students, with my graduating class consisting of less than 90 students. The school is a good size and is very well kept. The administration allows teachers to find creative ways to teach kids which also leads them to have a very good relationship. My experience at Cumberland High was overall a good experience.

Cumberland County High School is a really well built and put together of a school. I really love that Freshman's, Sophomore's, Juniors, and Seniors have their own halls. The gym is really easy to find and it is a well kept cleaned and neat gym. The cafeteria is a really good size for each class to have lunch. I would love for CHS to sweep the floors daily. Overall CHS is a really nice school!!
