GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

No one cares how you are as long as you are not psychotically screaming about it.

Most of the teachers don't care if you grasp the lesson. They care more about passing and failing. And even if you're failing they don't help you. But heaven forbid an athlete is failing or missing assignments. Those kids are given privileges that is over exceeded. Not all teachers have this priority, but about 80 percent of the teachers at this school do. Especially the coaches that are teachers.

One time there was a drill for a lockdown and a classroom full of students hid in the closet and they were never found and cleared. They spent an extra two hours in the closet. Some teachers didn't lock their doors. Students are on their phones as if it were a joke. The health programs are definitely amazing. There is a Paramedic who teaches three days at the school and he is amazing. There is also an RN who helps when the Paramedic is not there. These two are a great team. They have helped in situations at the school and on the field or court.

I would never send my child back to this school. The new principal has no interest in safety for the kids that go there and has no respect for his staff. He allows bullying to happen and himself bullies others. You'd think coming into a district with problems already, new administration would focus...

This school is a disappointment. Personally, I've been bullied twice this year by separate people in different classrooms and even though the teacher heard what was going on, not once did they interfere. I had one teacher tell me that I flirt with boys too much and that I need to work on my school w...
