Lakewood Montessori School is a private school for students in pre-K through fifth grade. The school is a non-profit organization that was established back in 1999. The school is affiliated with the American Montessori Society, and class environments are curated with supplies and materials to meet the needs of all preschool and elementary students.
To be accepted into the school, parents must fill out an application for their child. If they’re admitted, the student is enrolled on a trial basis where, during the trial, a teacher will monitor their progress and assess their unique needs. The curriculum is divided into four categories based on the student’s age.
The school offers a summer program to students enrolled for the following year. During this program, they can enjoy crafts and activities. Each week, the summer program centers around themes like The Arctic Poles and Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Very poor staffing, limited resources and no accommodations. Consider Zion or other schools within a mile or two away that all have waitlists.

We’ve had three children at LMS and have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the school. It’s a warm environment with a great community of kids and parents. The teachers foster a sense of independence and love of learning in the children and watching my boys thrive there has been wonderful.
