The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At New Tech High School, I would say the best parts are the food, the teachers, and the student environment. There is not as much bullying and there is no dress code but more security to make sure everyone is safe. The teachers are very nice and can be strict at times to make sure I do my work which is very helpful. The students here are very nice and kind, also. Overall I would say New tech High School is one of the best schools in Dallas and I recommend it to everyone.

It was a really fun school and I'm happy I attended it for all 4 years and graduated from there. The best experiences were the friends I made there, the teachers, and the school culture. The school had a great sense of community and it felt like one big family there at New Tech. The worst parts of my experiences there consisted of the work sometimes and other students ruining things for the rest of us. Overall though it was a great school and I wouldn't have gone anywhere else even if I was given the choice.

I love going to new tech, it is a project based school. You get a lot of freedom to choice what partway you want. They have video game pathway which was just added. I was in animation partway but the animation teacher retired. I would like to see them bring in a new teacher so we could finish our term with our chosen pathway
