Give the kids a little more freedom so school feels like a fun place to go to not a prison. Less focus on a cell phone or who can go to the restroom without an escort. The teenagers are growing up they need some freedom.

Some teachers and administrators try to make school easy and fun, but the majority are sticklers for rules and don't listen.

Danville is a really great school. It gets kids ready for college or going right into the work force. They have so many classes that lead up to jobs right after high school if you don't want to go to college. Danville also has so many classes to get you ready for college. The academics at Danville is amazing because they have teachers that fit well with the students and help the students when needed. The learning environment is amazing because you have a good time in the classes while doing work. So it feels like you aren't doing work but you are learning more than just sitting in class taking notes. The staff members ant Danville are there for the kids to make sure that the kids get the education and the safety that every kid should get when going to school.

My children have experienced many opportunities academically and with extra-curricular that are preparing them for the next level. They have been blessed with teachers that challenge and extend learning. Administrators and staff are welcoming and excellent communicators.

I have taught in a smaller sized city school with much less diversity. That school has an extremely unsupportive administration as opposed to DHS. Yes the kids there can be a rowdy and make poor decisions, but I have seen much much worse behavior in a school where the students truly do run the schoo...

Fights, drug use, gang affiliation, and non caring teachers are a big issue. There are a couple amazing teachers here, but It seems like most of the teachers and staff do not believe in the students. They do not help you succeed. It is all up to the student. Also, lack of discipline is a huge issue.
