GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall it was a very good school. The students however were not very pleasant, and teachers did little to stop bullying. Academics were good, but there wasn't much variety for higher level students.

Overall my experience at Danville High School was positive. There are a lot of good teachers and a decently diverse range of classes one can take. Some things I would like to see change is the conflict between the arts and academics. Band is scheduled at the same time as AP science and math classes, forcing many students to choose between them- including myself. I feel like there should be ways to accommodate those types of students.

Danville area senior high school challenged me and allowed me to do extremely well on standardized tests and even gain credits for college. One thing I would like to see change is the hours of school attended a day.
