GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

George Washington High School is full of diversity and is always trying to become a better school. They implement new ideas and try to give students the ability to achieve their full potential. The music department is extremely successful and has a positive environment. However, the sports teams may not perform as well as others, they still have plenty of positivity.

The teachers and faculty helped me a lot to ensure my success in High School. They went beyond measure to make sure I had all of my classes, tests, and requirements to achieve the diploma I want. The only thing I would like to see change is the way the students are disciplined and the structure at the High School.

Well my experience has been pretty good. I've been in marching band for 4 years and it made my high school journey better. I made some cool friends along the way. The classes are alright. We have a pretty good football team. We also have a pretty good basketball team. The food there not so great. I think the school need to add more clubs and have better food.

Academics are not at a very high level anymore, and there is a general lack of discipline in the school. There is a school resource officer there, in addition to several private security officers, but the...
