Great teachers who really do care about each student's success. New staff as of 2020 did an excellent job with communication and efficiency, especially considering the harsh conditions.

I'd always tell myself that I couldn't stand going to Decatur High but I always said that I'd rather go there than anywhere else. The teachers are amazing and will do whatever it take to ensure you get into a college and will be able to afford it.

The school is all about football and revolves its whole student life around football. If you don't play football it is very annoying that the football students get all this special treatment such as 10 pep rallies a year that students are required to go to and bow down to the football players as if...

Decatur High is a very personalized school system. The teachers/staff and administratoin provide something for everyone! Whether your child excels in the math and sciences to sports to art/theatre/band/chorus - there is something for everyone. The school is small enough to have personalized attentio...

There are some amazing teachers at DHS. There are some who need to step up and teach! I want my child to excel in college and am nervous that she might not be ready. The administration needs to find a focus and get their teachers working towards the goal.
