Decatur High School has offered me a lot of IB classes that I've learned a lot in, not just about the course material but also about how to learn effectively and think critically. However, I think it can be a difficult environment for those who aren't self-driven and benefit from organizational support.

Overall, decatur high school is a great school. We have a bunch of great opportunities, however, the grading system is very odd, and has tendencies go change often.

Decatur High School is a great high school that really challenges their students to become better academically. It gives WIN time which is really helpful because it gives you time to catch up on your homework, retake or make-up tests, and get additional help from your teachers. It's also a great time to just relax and take some time for yourself.

This entire district is imploding on itself due to intense pressure from the community to enable students' self-destructive, out of control behavior. As a parent I love the school. My son graduated from Decatur high school 2019 and my daughter is scheduled to graduate 2022 in both have flourished in the school. Teachers are amazing, small school feel and great community to live in.

So far our experience has been excellent. I myself went to a parochial school because the public schools in my hometown were not up to par. My wife was a public school kid that attended a great PS.
