The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

Meigs County High School is a great place that values close relationships, community spirit, and creates a supportive environment. While it may lack some of the opportunities that larger schools get, it is an amazing choice for students looking for a very personal high school experience. For me the last four years have been amazing, and this school has allowed me to open the next door of my life in an amazing way.

During my time at MCHS I made so many close friends and the teachers and staff were all wonderful! I couldn't have chosen a better school if I tried!

I like the community involvement and feel of Meigs county high school. I would like to see more highly qualified teachers & college prep instilled in the curriculum.
Teachers really don’t even teach the students anything and are more worried about other things such as football plays and other things to help the kids, they can’t stay on task and completely rush through topics to get them done faster so they can have time to themselves. I would not recommend.
The school is honestly really not okay. As of being a student and writing this the school has bug problems, mice problems, and loves to try to hide it by making a dress code that is bias. I don't mean just boys vs. Girls. If you don't speak English or are Arabic or anything that isn't white or Chris...
As A Current student in Meigs High School, I have found you have to come from something in order to be recognized as a human being in the school. If you don't come from a good background or even well-known, they treat you differently and poorly which is just a shame. No one deserves to be treated po...
This school is a 0/10 for me. Horrible principals, horrible teachers... if you're not from this county or don't have connections they WILL treat you differently. Very hypocritical people here RUNNING the school. Curriculum would also be a 0/10.
