GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Meigs County High School is a family oriented school. No matter if you are new to the school system or have been in Meigs schools your whole life, all the teachers make you feel like you belong. I have learned the importance of finding your people from meeting new kids and making new friends. I hope even after I graduate kids will still be able to find the teachers in this school who want to help them succeed after high school. The counselors help coach each kid to understand the importance of having a plan after high school.

I like how meigs prepares you for ACT and college. They have classes that are specially designed to help you increase your ACT score and when it come down to college they hired a staff member just for seniors to help them apply and be college ready.

Meigs county is a decent school; however, not all students are academically driven which disturbs the classes and overall academic excellence.

Teachers really don’t even teach the students anything and are more worried about other things such as football plays and other things to help the kids, they can’t stay on task and completely rush through topics to get them done faster so they can have time to themselves. I would not recommend.

The school is honestly really not okay. As of being a student and writing this the school has bug problems, mice problems, and loves to try to hide it by making a dress code that is bias. I don't mean just boys vs. Girls. If you don't speak English or are Arabic or anything that isn't white or Chris...

As A Current student in Meigs High School, I have found you have to come from something in order to be recognized as a human being in the school. If you don't come from a good background or even well-known, they treat you differently and poorly which is just a shame. No one deserves to be treated po...

This school is a 0/10 for me. Horrible principals, horrible teachers... if you're not from this county or don't have connections they WILL treat you differently. Very hypocritical people here RUNNING the school. Curriculum would also be a 0/10.
