I have overall had a very positive experience at Decorah. The main pros are great academics and a focus on being a well-rounded person. The main cons are the administration and the lack of opportunities because we are a small school. Great school that has prepared me well for college, just not a lot of emphasis on having 'fun'

I have not had the best experience with the Decorah Community School District. "The Decorah Way" sets unrealistic expectations of their students. While it is good to be pushed and encouraged, DCSD pushes students too hard, and is not understanding when they reach their breaking point. They are more focused on their image than students.

We are given many opportunities to learn in many different classes. I love the staff and many people in the student body.
