GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a decent school. Most of the teachers are very nice and polite. Majority of them will help with your needs and concerns.

My experience at South Lenoir is great, they have the best supportive staff and all the counselors around us help us into getting more comfortable and fitting into our school. The clubs are a good way of socializing and still helping out around school and becoming a big team.

I LOVE my school. It is located in the rural community of Deep Run, NC. We only have about 150 in my graduating class so the student to teacher ratio is low. The advantage to a smaller school is that everyone know you. You're not just a number in school, you're a person. I don't have any "in-person" classes this semester, but I still go to school just to sit in the library to do my assignments. I like being there and this is my last year to do so. I would highly recommend South Lenoir High School to anyone moving to or living in this community. You won't find a better school with more caring and helpful teachers and staff. I LOVE being a "Lady Blue Devil" on our varsity volleyball team and will miss it when I graduate. But, I will always be a "Blue Devil" at heart and will proudly return to support my school.
