This school is one of the best schools on the area in my opinion. I'm very lucky to be able to graduate from a school that is very connected to the community. I'm very proud to be a Warden. The best part of this school is the loving environment the staff exceeds. The staff and administration make sure you know you are cared for. The worst thing about the school is the lack of updates. The school doesn't have the best funding to get things like a new gym floor because it's very expensive when other schools have the money. But Powell County is overall a great school I would love to enroll my kids in it someday.

It was all of my family had gone. Love the small town and class feel of it. Sports teams were competitive when I was there. But not so much now.

I love my School I think that for the most part, the teachers are good, but there are a couple that doesn't do their job right or helps their students good enough. The athletic system is great and we have a great AD, he is awesome and loves to see us do well.

This school is horrible and my sister ended up doing online school after her sophomore year because she was not getting a good education from the school. Luckily my family moved so that I didn’t have to go to Powell County High School

Good school if; 1 you're rich, 2 you're well connected in the town, or 3 your child is very good in sports. If your child is failing or has learning difficulties they simply tell the student to just drop out and try for a GED.
