I don't feel as if we have very good college preparatory or life preparatory classes, I'm nervous to graduate because we were never taught about taxes, how to make the best decisions grocery shopping, and I had to do my own research on scholarships - no one put out links or told me when would be a good time to start, until I find it on my own and realize I could've applied my freshman year.

The teachers at DeForest try their hardest to provide opportunities and the majority of them genuinely care about their students. There are many classes and clubs that are offered but they seem to focus a large amount of their attention on agriculture and business. There are minor issues with the building itself such as leaking ceilings that the administration seems to overlook.

My teachers over the years have been respectful towards me and kind. Our school has pretty good funding so we have fair supplies such as textbooks in good condition, scrap paper available, and some classrooms have extra pencils. Overall my personal experience here at Deforest has been really good.

I cannot say enough about the quality of education my children have recieved at DeForest School District! We moved here 11 years ago not knowing the area. We have a daughter in college and another still in HS. We know we made the best choice for our kids. They have had opportunities not afforded to...
