DeForest has prepared me for college in many ways beyond the education itself. Preparing me for the financial, social, and academic challenges that I will face in college. Both the teachers and administration have been very helpful with any challenges that I may experience and have guided me through it all.

I feel like my experience was only okay because I had a very concrete idea of what I wanted before I got to high school. A lot of kids I know didn't and they felt lost for a good majority of their high school experience. I would've loved to see more diverse teachers to allow more kids an outlet. As an honors student, I also felt like I was being milked by admin to make the school look good instead of feeling good about my own successes. A lot of the teachers I had were wonderful, and many of the teachers overall are really great - some over qualified to be there, but nonetheless very good at their jobs.

My time at DeForest Area High School has been very educational. The staff and teachers are very helpful and approachable and the school as a whole has done a fantastic job transferring all of its courses to an online format. DeForest Area High School does both synchronous and asynchronous learning. There is ample opportunity to contact teachers outside of class for help.

We have a daughter in college and another still in HS. We know we made the best choice for our kids. They have had opportunities not afforded to...
