“Providing quality education for all students” is the Delton Kellogg School District's mission and can be clearly seen in the successes of ninth to 12th grade students at Delton Kellogg High School. Compared to other high schools in the area, this school offers small class sizes in a more rural setting. Crooked Lake provides a charming backdrop to athletic, academic and extracurricular activities. Delton Kellogg Panthers participate in Division C athletics, including football, diving, volleyball and softball. Student clubs include Delton Kellogg High School band, the Gear Cats robotics club, student council, and powerlifting. The Green Team is an environmental awareness group where students can volunteer. Thanks to the Kent County Collaborative Curriculum, teachers use research-based models to develop curriculum, assess student knowledge and manage classrooms. Advanced placement classes allow students to earn college credit before they graduate. An after-school tutoring program, known as the Success Center, is available for students to receive guidance from a certified teacher. Coffee Conversations is a unique program where parents and community members have the chance to speak with the school’s principal in the cafeteria monthly. This program is great for prospective students’ parents to learn more about the offerings at Delton Kellogg High School.

It's a small school with a small town environment. Everyone knows everybody and it always feels like a safe and welcoming environment. Staff and faculty work hard to provide the best experience possible. The sports options were pretty average, but they do try to give as many academic opportunities, such as AP or dual enrollment, as possible.

It is a great place with great education. The resources they provided me are helping me have a future at a college. I really appreciate the teachers and staff for helping me and other students with their future and education.

She went onto KVCC for 2 years and transferred to Western Michigan University to finish her teaching degree. She now...
