My time at NVD was amazing. I created many great relationships with both peers and teachers. Learning at NVD was great everyday because the staff engaged with the students and taught in a meaningful way. Overall I loved my experience at NVD.

Northern Valley Demarest is a rigorous high school. They offer many higher level classes such as Honors and AP courses. The electives offered are varied. The teachers and administrators care about the students while holding them to high expectations. Furthermore, NVD has many clubs and sports. It's a great public high school.

NVD is a great academic school with great students and great teachers but thats about it. The sports teams are average and the spirit is too. The administration is very strict and does not allow much creative freedom among the student body. I do think that the school does prepare students very effectively for college.

The school is very competitive for honor students and is excellent in liberal arts, especially in English and History. However, the opportunies for advanced STEM studentds are very restricted. For example, STEM students can not take 2 AP Science classes until the Senior year, and school does not par...
