The 2022-2023 school year is an exciting time for Montbello students, as several schools undergo restructuring to better meet the community's needs. Strive Prep-Noel Middle School is one of those schools. Formerly Strive Prep-Montbello, the newly named Denver charter school is relocating to the Rachel B. Noel campus at 5290 Kittredge St. The school will continue to serve grades six through eight. Students will share the campus, and access to adjacent Parkfield Lake Park, with newly formed Montbello Middle School.
The new location offers four science labs, a gymnasium, and several sports fields, both on campus and at the park, and an auditorium with a stage. Each student receives a laptop, and the school still offers the small class sizes, one on one instruction, and rigorous academics that Strive Prep charter schools are known for. As many students lived close enough to the former campus to walk, the school will expand its free transportation offerings to accommodate them.
The school is expanding its extracurricular offerings to include co-ed baseball, Speech and Debate, Gifted and Talented programs, and Art Club.
Strive Prep charter schools were founded with the intention of closing historic achievement gaps. As of 2019, 89% of their graduates went on to be accepted at four-year universities. In Montbello, where students lagged behind their peers in reading and math skills in the past, the Strive Prep curriculum and its dedicated staff have come a long way in closing that gap.

This school doesn't know how to teach. The food sucks, and the administrators are sucky. The consequences at this school don't even make sense and PEAK Academy doesn't work. Someone please explain the safety guidelines also aren't held to the standard that they should. They make such a big thing out of nothing. I also can't even count how many teachers have quit and we've had 2 principals quit within the past 3 years.
