The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

DePue High School is very small. The graduating classes range from 20-35 students. For this particular reason it makes students feel very welcomed and comfortable because you can get to meet pretty much everyone who attends to the high school. This school is also a K-12 school so you get to be around students from all ages. One thing that I would like to see change is offering high school students APA classes and tutoring.

I like that the teachers are always there to help. They stay after school hours and adjust to how we learn best. Our class sizes are small and we basically know each other and everyone that goes there. It feels like family. One thing that I would change is introducing more sports and clubs. There really is not many of extra curricular activities and if there were more it would give students a wider selection to what they would like to do.

I really enjoy the small community I have grown up with that has brought me very close to many of my peers. One thing I wish changed is the development of a few more extra curricular activities, that will give the students a broader selection to get involved.
