Is an okay school, doesn't really excel at anything but has really good program that informs students on college and scholarships to make sure they are ready for life after high school.

Although North High School is lacking in funding they do they're best to try and support the students; most of the teachers at North give their all when teaching students; for activities they're lacking in school clubs (they only have 10) Mostly due to lack of funding; the school sport or " culture" is is extremely boring or for better word lack there of. The may be due to the new generation of students; who are absorbed in they're phones and own conversations.

i really liked all the different type of people you got to meet through out your 4 year journey. there was so much diversity at that school. we all helped each other learn new skills from one another. there was only a handful of teacher that really worked with all students well. one thing that i hated and really wanted to change was how much privilege the basketball varsity team god. they could gat away with anything, they could all skip class and go to their special little locker room that only they had access to.

I am a 2017 graduate. Although the academic education was not great, the students had good heads on their shoulders. I never witnessed bullying or harassment. The student body was like a family, all having dealt with similar traumas, that we understood our peers. i made so many more friends at North...

I am a alumni to North high who transfered from another Des Moines school and found the staff and the block schedule to be a great learning opportunity. Not only does the staff care about each student, bock scheduling makes time for a more hands on question and answering, help with homework or when...
