The principal called me a liar this year and the AP English teacher called me stupid. I don't feel safe at school. some of the doors don't lock so someone could get in. The only reason the sports are good is because they keep throwing money at the sports teams. The cheerleading team got new pom poms and they don't ever use them. Also the soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball teams get new stuff all the time. Our band director had to buy twenty new stands himself because they wouldn't give him money from the budget. The band and chorus room is also an old shop class garage that for the first time ever is finally getting the floor swept because our principal said it's okay, you don't need to sweep the garage floor. At the end of every year they paint over the dirt.

The school is very welcoming and offers lots of actvitities for students to get to know each other and express themselves.

Dexter high school has encouraged me to be a better student. I have also become a better citizen through key club which is a club they offer.
