GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Unlike most people, I actually enjoyed high school. I feel that my high school did well at making sure I was prepared for life after school. I wish they would have helped with scholarships and other college related issues that I was unaware of. I think that my school is like a family, we support each other at every sports game. However, the school is full of different cliques and many people can be left out and start to feel poorly about themselves, this is something that I would like to see change.

I graduated in the class of 1965. At that time we sent people to the military academies every year. We were highly ranked academically. There was a strong emphasis on math and science. However, bullying was rampant. I had to win 5 fistfights to stop the bullying. I was astonished to read current reviews bitterly complaining about bullying. So, from 1960 to now, a span of 63 years, bullying has not been addressed. People cannot learn while in constant fear. I hope this get fixed.

My experience so far at General Brown has been an average one. I am a student that dables in almost everything that the school has to offer, but most of the things I do are under funded so we are not able to do some of the things we wish to do. The administrasion and teachers are great and are willing to go above and beyond to help students with anythiing they might need help with. I wish we had more technology and designing courses because as of right now we only have one that high schoolers can take.

I hate this school. Ive been bullied my entire time going here and was told to just ignore it. The kids are homophobic, racist, transphobic, ableist, antisemitic, the teachers dont do anything about it. I cant wait to move.

This school used o be good, but now it's not good. I went there my final years of high school, and it was a different school than the one I had heard about. There are some fabulous teachers that go out of their way to help students, but some teachers do nothing in their class but talk about sports o...
