I went to HA a few years ago and left due to bullying from other students. They would talk behind my back about how themselves and other kids should not have been friends with me due to my race and religious background. The classes were good but the pressure really came down with the social environment, which has extreme effects on the mental health of kids who are of different races or LGBTQ.

Houston Academy is the premier school in the Southeastern part of Alabama. It is not only the academic choice of the Wiregrass, but it has extraordinary extracurricular programs. I love this school and am grateful my kids go to school at HA. #goRaiders

Houston Academy is a fantastically rigorous school. I am an HA alum, and I know my status in college is all thanks to the preparedness I received at HA. However, diversity and different ideologies are not respected. This school has an insane issue with bullying and harassment, as the students do it...
