My son has been slapped on his neck, called the N word, pushed, phone taken by a student the the kid ran with it like it was funny, today a student was upset about something with a grade and I guess my son smirked so the student said I'm going to kick your a,once in the Cafe the student took my sons lunch twice, then once in line the student pushed my son, my son pushed back and the bully fell on a young lady. No one stopped the boy from pushing my son. 3 months of this can make a child resent the formal educational system. There's no "go tell a teacher" when teachers are there and do nothing. We LOVE all but 1 teacher but she's been in the same job,same school for decades which is bad. Math, ELA, Social Studies, Band are amazing ! The bullying that's allowed is news worthy. It's scary and disappointing. Feels like I'm just waiting for a phone call every day.

terrible staff, students are rude and disruptive. Lots of students doing drugs. Wouldn't send my child here.

For the 2025-2026 school year so far I can say my child is having a good experience because of peace at home and being a social butterfly. We had high hopes for DHMS based on other people’s experiences we had heard, but the focus at the school is all wrong. The teachers spend more time dress coding girls than teaching. And none of the teachers are on the same page as to what is acceptable. My child has been removed from class many time...
