GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Small town feel, good sports teams especially football and baseball which I play in. Track and field also good. Girls sports are good too. Good teachers. Well prepared for college

At DHS I have always liked how everyone is very welcoming and always willing to help a student in need. Since we have small class sizes, I have known all of my classmates since kindergarten, which is a great thing, but it could also be negative. I think we could improve on offering AP courses since we don't currently have any. I would also improve the funding for our arts programs. The arts don't get as much funding as many of the other sports clubs in our school.
