GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a great community with a lot of school spirit. It is a very aademic competitive program for some but then for other students it isn't at all. So you are either a great student or not the best and theres no really in the middle.

Since the last administration change several years ago the school district has been more about $ and data than about the children. I will not be sen...

I am a former student and moved to Duxbury in the middle of high school at which point I felt as though I was behind academically although I had been doing well in my classes at Silver Lake. After graduating from DHS I felt as though I was better prepared for college than some of my peers. I would s...

Things have changed for the worse drastically since the previous ratings were posted below (2004 and 2007). Now, drugs run rampant in the school. There are drug dealers in every grade. Students are disrespectful in class and teacher's don't seem to have control of their classroom. My son sits next t...
