GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Summit Learning Charter is a small, eclectic school. My favorite part is the community--the students and teachers are really good at building a community where no one gets left out. I would like it if Summit had sports teams of some kind, since that is not currently available, and having more campuses would also be nice. It's a very good school, though, with a great Early College program.

I thoroughly enjoyed their early college program, as it enabled me to earn my AA by the time I graduated high school.

Great program, very helpful advisors. They are there to help you succeed. They have an early college program at Summit Learning Charter that is very helpful for those who feel like they are not doing anything by staying in high school. I have been in this program for three terms now and I finally feel that I am actually learning something that I might use later in life, not just stuff that they can stick in my head because they have to teach me something. Their campus is in southeast Portland and so I don't get to go to a lot of their activities, but the ones that I have gone to were well organized, fun and engaging. They have a LINK program which is a high school sophomore or higher students that would like to have a leadership opportunity. They help students that are transitioning from middle school into high school. All of the advisors at Summit Learning Charter are highly humorous and love a good laugh.

Summit Learning Charter has been a great fit for my kids. The staff will go above and beyond what is required to ensure their needs are met. I was a bit skeptical at first, many schools had broken their promise to work with my kids. Summit not only kept their promise, but went above and beyond my ex...

I wanted to take a brief moment to review this school. It has done wonderful things for my child who has been pretty phobic of the intensity that over-crowded schools bring. After trying *everything* to alleviate his stress, we decided to pull him from his regular traditional schedule and enroll him...
