GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This high school is pretty good for a border town. This school does what it can with funding, but sometimes classes are unavailable on campus so we students are bussed to another campus that offers them instead. The hall monitors yell often, which rallies students occasionally.

Overall my experience is pretty average. There's nothing really exciting happening except during football season. After that the year gets pretty boring and the days drag on. I'd like to see more involvement with the staff and students. More dress up weeks and contests that interact with all of the student body would be a great way to make EPHS stand out. One thing I don't really enjoy is the award giveaways. The fact that perfect attendance students get better awards then the HONOR ROLL STUDENTS baffles me. The student code of conduct is there for a reason so obviously students need to abide by it. The thing that bothers me is the fact that administrators will call out a girl for wearing a slight crop but not one that's wearing a literal bra. Other than these factors I'd say Ephs is a pretty average high school just trying to look their best.

The principal Mr. C, the counselor Ms. S. and the 9th grade Pre AP English teacher Mrs. E. are outstanding professionals. They are there for their love of children and of teaching!
