GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

To be completely honest about East Hampton High School, it is probably the best school and town I could have asked for growing up. Even though we are not the best at some sports, everyone bands together and celebrates the wins that each team has. Not only through the sport teams but in real classes too. Everyone is kind to each other and welcoming. I think it is just the small town environment that East Hampton High is in. Overall, its a great school and I took it for granted when I went there.

East Hampton is a very good place to grow up in my opinion, the High School really rounds out your education. As much as everyone complains about it, most students don't realize how much the things we do help until they graduate and are in a new situation (ie: college, trade school, work force). While there are many things that the school could, and probably should change, change is a difficult thing, and takes time.

I have been enrolled at East Hampton High School for my Freshman and Senior years of high school. For my Freshman year, I was starting to make friends after my middle school years felt isolating. I was also doing well with classes, participating in some Honors courses. For my Senior year, I was able to remake friends on the dot, after 2 years of going somewhere else. I feel much more welcomed and I am able to connect with others more. My classes are very rigorous, 3 AP classes and 1 college level class, but I am doing well in all of these classes as well.

The admin is terrible to the kids, the kids are very unhappy at this school. They do not provide a happy environment, and yell at the kids all the time. The Athletic director is the worst, and physically pushed a girl on the basketball team. He is very mean to the students, and his wife is his boss...

My daughter is absolutely being challenged at EHHS. The teachers here are excellent. I feel like the school overall cares about the students and there is great focus on preparing for college. I was planning on sending my daughter next year to a private school but our experience here has made me chan...

i thought of the teachers as very kind and understanding, but my daughters sophomore we had to take her out of the school due to her being excessively bullied. she claimed that "the teachers didn't say or do any thing about it." i always saw it was a nice school though, very clean spacious etc.
