The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Access to AP and honors classes, 4.0 grading system, good school spirit. The food is often underrated, and fee waivers are available to nearly all students applying to college or signing up for the SAT and AP tests. However, fights between students is a semi-regular occurrence. What else would be expected from a public school in suburban central Connecticut?

There's not much to say. It's been a pretty decent school. My only complaint is that I want better school lunch and better discipline for students because it seems to me that the current discipline isn't working much if the same kids keep going the wrong things.

I transferred from a different school to East Hartford high sophomore year. When I first got there everything was different and new .The school I had transferred from was smaller .I would get lost finding my classes. The teachers there are very good and try their best to make you understand what they're teaching but there's not much diversity. Most of my teachers were very white for starters and could barely see any black or colored teachers .It's a really good school the food is good and they provide both breakfast and lunch.East Hartford high is a very diverse school. There are also of people from different places and different skin colors and ethnicity that goes here. One bad thing I would like to address is that lately there have been a lot of vaping and smoking in the bathrooms which had led the school to shut down almost all of the bathrooms except for two.But besides that my experience here have been great so far.
Terrible. Staff treats student with little to no respect and expect students to show them respect. Staff is unprofessional when it comes to dealing with parents
My husband and I are forced to move to a better school district due to the fact our child is always threatened and bullied and staff and administrators looked the other way. The cop within the school( right there I should have taken this as a sign this school is bad if they have two cops in there ev...
#couldvebeenaheartsurgeontoobadiwenttoehhs If you count going to three lunches a day, walking right past the security guards all day and spending the rest of my time in the library or student assistance center as school, then I guess I went to this school.
