GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Student population continues to grow more diverse, but teaching staff doesn't match it. Teachers here CARE - there is a lot done to ensure student success (same goes for admin). School attendance (and avoidance) is a huge issue that needs addressing. That isn't to say it isn't addressed at all, but more needs to put toward this. It effects everything else - grades, culture, behavior. I don't know what the solution is, but I don't feel like we're working hard enough to combat it.

It's a small school with plenty of things to study. They have great electives that really teach different majors or jobs out in the world like forensics, law, sociology and more. Safety is important there as they have cameras everywhere, doors locked on the outside and let students know that open the door for anyone is not allowed. There's a police station right next to the school incase anything terrible happens. There's a lot of clubs from environmental to even a video game club.

It was overall pretty good, unfortunately spent most of my time during high school during COVID. Most of the teachers are overall great people who want you to succeed and will do their best to make sure you do. For the most part, It's a good environment to learn in and many kids will make good friends here.

BRHS is my alma mater and I am so proud to be a WILDCAT! I had a wonderful high school experience and still carry caring words and thoughtful lessons I learned in my classes. Is everyone perfect...no, but if that is what you are looking for you will always be disappointed. People forget that funding...
