I like how diverse my school is and how much school spirit we have. Although we get very little support money-wise, we are your typical urban public school. My school has been through a lot of hardships but we continue to thrive.

What I like about Eastern High School is diversity and kind teachers. I also like world language classes that they offered. It's very fun and interesting to learn a foreign language.

The teachers and staff are amazingly helpful and genuinely care about you. however, the district makes things really hard. They are not organized and do it takes a lot of work to get them to listen to people concerns. The food is not the best, but we recently moved to a new school building which is super modern compared to where we used to attend.

I am a 7th grader at eastern honestly at the beginning of the year I was scared but now I am just fine because I feel safe from the high schoolers in our own 7th 8th grade hallway. Came from small Catholic school. Eastern has a lot to offer for an inner city school. 2+2+2 program a Godsend. The AP/IB program includes a diverse cirriculum. There are several languages taught, a wide variety of electives available and a diverse group if people who seem to get along.

I think Eastern is a great school has a mix of all different nationalities and it's great for kids to get exposure to different ways of life.
