A highly-qualified team at Bellview Elementary School in the Detroit Metro enclave of Eastpointe, strives to create an environment that establishes lifelong learning, respects individual diversity and fosters excellence.
A well-rounded curriculum, offered to just over 230 students in grades 3-5, is focused on tried-and-true methods and is aimed to accommodate the needs of every learner. Demonstrating the commitment of its staff to make the school a great place to learn, Bellview Elementary has received recognition as a Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Model School.
All team members at Bellview are involved in the school's PLC efforts, which include defining precisely what each student needs to learn, timely monitoring of each student's progress, systematic interventions to make sure that struggling students get more time and help, and extended enrichment options to those who have mastered concepts. Additionally, all district buildings and levels include built-in time for grade level collaborative teams to meet during the school day.
Aside from strong academic supports, students at Bellview have additional opportunities to join in after-school groups including drama, painting, and athletics, giving them more chances to follow their passions and talents.
Bellview Elementary School only has three grade levels, yet learning there is engaging because it meets children where they are, facilitating a successful transition to middle school and beyond.

Personally, Bellview was such an amazing elementary school for me. I love how the teachers are kind, caring, and friendly towards everyone, especially us students. If it is possible, I would totally go back in time and attend Bellview again! :)
