It's an all around okay school. There's plenty of things that they try to do, but the kids just are eh. Most of the kids are the problem.

What I liked about attending ecorse community high school is the teachers and how it was more of a family environment. I graduated from ecorse high in 2006 and I now I attend ashford university online, although ecorse did not get me prepared for college the first time, it actually did teach me a lot about a close knit community which is what I use to get when I went to ecorse. I also learned about computer drafting and one of the reasons I want to become a teacher and am now pursuing a career in education. The only thing holding me back for next semester is the lack of funding from financial aid which is why I am seeking scholarships so that I can pursue my degree and do what I am passionate about.

A few good things about Ecorse High. One thing is the staff members, they are so nice and respectful. Another is their academics are great, do not get us wrong we love our sports but academics come first.

Test scores have gone up in four out of five areas where the State of Michigan ranks us. Our deficit is going down. Ecorse is going in the right direction. That is up. Is making great strides to improve. We have Kaplan to better prepare our students for the ACT/MME. This has produced increased test scores.
