The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Edgewood is a very academically focused schools and definitely challenges me on a daily basis. The overall community is very diverse and everyone has the opportunity to meet new people and find their friends.

I've been in the Edgemont district my whole life. I feel like it may be harder to transition to this school if you are new, as everyone has a set group of friends. The students here are also very driven and have an inner competition. Overall there are some nice events during the year. Not a good school for outside connections and resources like job opportunities and internships. Wish the community of Edgemont was more close knit and not so judgemental. But it is a good school for academics.

When I moved to this school, I expected a diverse, academically pleasing, inclusive school. What I actually experienced was nothing of that sort. The people here are awful. They're judgmental and unintelligent. Everybody is wealthy and only care about appearance. Many people who move here say that they like their old school better and would go back if they could. Overall, a decent school with horrible rich kids.

Attended EHS 10+ years ago. The general mood of the school was bully-free and students were focused on their academics. Overall a great school with good teachers, good students, and lots of extracurricular activities.
