The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Edison High School doesn't have a great environment of students, administration, etc. However if a student is dedicated enough to their education and raised well, finding the right resources is made very easy and some faculty are very dedicated towards student development.

Edison has been a very fun place at times but it is ran very poorly at times. An example of this is that a few weeks ago, a student brought a gun to school and the parents were never notified.

I really enjoyed the personable environment but I won't be giving it five stars because unfortunately there aren't many programs that set you up for advanced learning. They're branching out and trying to do that more and more now but when I went through there were no real academic programs or after school activities that I could be involved in, only sports.

Former Graduate of this school, and one of the better public schools in the State.

There's also a palpably snooty vibe that one has to have money and wear the right clothes. That attitude is much more prevalent here than say, Perkins or Norwalk or other area sch...

Edison High School is alright. The teachers, custodians, and councelors are great. The principal however is not. He does not take action when it is needed. Bullying is not taken care of at all. I was bullied for weeks, my parents and myself went to the principal almost every day. It was not taken ca...

I'm writing as a former Edison student. Like many high school students, I hated school and thus hated Edison. Having been out in the world for a while now, I've realized that this school has provided me with an education unmatched by many other public schools. Many of the teachers (not all) have a g...
