As long as you're in the Pre-AP program, Barton is great. There are some really great teachers in Pre-AP Math, Science, and English. Most of the problems in the regular classes are not the teachers' fault. They're dealing with kids who don't care, kids who will soon be the 4th or 5th generation on welfare, kids who will soon be in prison. It all goes back to parents. The kids whose parents value education excel.

Barton Junior High reminds me of typical schools. If you a problem, they'll go by the book and if your situation doesn't match the book, then you have to fight. They don't go the extra mile, but they won't allow their students to be blatantly neglected.

This is my last year at Barton and its horrible. Teachers always have a attitude and sending students out of class. Students fighting every other week or every other month
