The overall experience at El Paso High is pretty good. The school is very united and is very prideful of the building and the culture of the school. I personally had an alright experience, but I feel like it could have been better if I was more involved in the culture of the school.

I don't live in the El Paso High School area, I actually was not supposed to go here but I transferred before the start of my freshman year. When I visited I could envision myself walking the halls and being entranced by the architecture, history of the school, and culture. When I graduate, I would be proud to say I'm an alumn. However, it's not without its faults, as during my time, teachers and admin weren't as helpful as a resource; additionally, communication around the school about events are not the best. It didn't seem admin were too open to being helpful with some were hardly ever in their offices. It was almost as though the students had to fend and learned for themselves. Students here are really smart and bright with students going to Yale, Cornell, etc. unfortunately with no help from most teachers. The extracurriculars however, are good and events are really fun the school culture is strong but the education department needs helps.

El Paso high is a very welcoming high school, ever since I started my first day I have felt welcomed and comfortable in the environment. The best part of my experience here is how great the student spirit is and how close the senior class is with each other. The worst part of my experience here is how little time for lunch the students get, especially if you are going out of campus to eat.

El Paso High is one of the oldest schools in town, built in 1914. The original architecture still stands tall and proud on a hilltop, which is one of the reasons it is often referred to as "The Lady on the Hill". The Football Stadium is located at the bottom of the front steps to the school, a magni...
