Welcome to the Lydia Patterson Institute. This innovative private Christian school serves nearly 300 students from seventh grade through high school graduation. It’s a college preparatory academy where more than 96% of students go on to a four-year college because its focus is on strong academics and preparing the children for university and the workplace. The institute doesn’t just focus on the curriculum either. It creates a safe learning environment by cultivating a positive climate in the school. This helps students flourish socially and mentally throughout the school year. There are also plenty of extracurriculars, clubs and activities, and sports programs so every child can explore their interests. For instance, the music program includes classes like choir, guitar, orchestra, and music theory while the athletic program features volleyball, basketball, soccer, cross country track, and baseball. Clubs and activities include the Interact Club, Robotics, Yearbook, Student Council, Newspaper, Esports, and two National Honor Societies. The Lydia Patterson Institute was founded in 1913, and its goal is to create well-rounded students who’ll become lifelong leaders and learners. Tuition is required and varies from $400 per month for students in the seventh and eighth grades to $500 per month for those in high school. To enroll, an application can be filled out on the school’s website.

I learned a lot about people, some teachers were helpful with college readiness which is good. But sometimes things are a little unfair. I would like to see underclasses to have more clubs and social interactions between them, and have mire opportunities to express themselves without being punished.

The school is to learn, so if I have to grade the teaching they provide, I would say it is poor because, just like five professors are the ones, I would say they know how to teach, and I like their job. On the other hand, we have the installation that may not be the best looking, but they are the worst; the problem is that they have stairs that are not so safe.

I am a senior in Lydia Patterson Institute and so far I like it a lot. The faculty and staff are nice and the food is good. The school has quite a lot of clubs and the environments on them are good.

I am impressed with the students and the teaching of some of the teachers. I had my children at DaVinci and then I took them to Coronado and we didn't like it either. La Lydia 100 percent recommended.

I was impressed at the intelligence of the students and their eagerness to learn. I was a former teacher at this school.
