The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would really like to see some change in the way they handle bomb threats and guns on campus. I wish my school made students feel more emotionally supported and not just academically supported. I'd also like the school feel safer and less of a joke.

The best parts of Montwood High School are the amazing teachers. I have learned so many life lessons in the time there from the teachers that I had.

I have experiences of my school that are good which would be, they have good spirit. They try to help all the students with whatever they need. Some bad things are there are a lot of bad students and the admin doesn't see it, there are a lot of fights and drama.

This school is great; All of the teachers I had were amazing(except for one or two) and the counselors do their best to help you out with any problem. The only problem I had was that my freshmen year I had very few friends since other students don't like to separate from their close group of friends...
