The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The experience at Valle Verde has overall been a positive one. The teachers are great, and genuinely care about the students. The best parts of my experience are the teachers and the subject matter being taught at the school. The worst parts are the limited clubs and events at Valle Verde, leading to a limited high school experience. I definitely would want to see more clubs added and a larger variety of high school courses.

Very solid school. Not much extracurricular and low funded, though. Would recommend for a headstart only if planning to attend UTEP specifically.

It's a good school. I like studying here very much. I feel it has made me confident in my scholarly abilities.
This school truly cares about it's students. They make sure we are prepared not only for college and life. If you are an entitled student or someone who believes whatever they want, they should get, well, you won't do well at this school. VVEC builds a family atmosphere where we all are challenged,...
