I love the community in the school, even though the school has both middle school and high school and they're integrated, it makes it easy to build a community with girls of all ages. however, that integration has repercussions, such as the younger girls (mainly middle school) don't understand the boundaries that are included in the societal norms, such as social media access and that they shouldn't follow someone on Instagram just because they are from the same school. Even though the classes are rigorous and the coursework is advanced, there has been a lack of teachers throughout the years and it's been in every year of my high school career of a lack of teachers.

This school is not for everyone. However, I highly recommend pushing through any doubts or feelings one might have to register or continue attending. The school provides many opportunities to its students, middle and high school, and the teachers prioritize student understanding of content as opposed to mere testing skills. It's small, but it's mighty. I know I'm glad I decided to attend YWLA.

My experience at the Young Women's Leadership Academy overall has been excellent. The teachers ensure that the students receive top tier education and are working to the best of their ability. The motivating environment of an all-girl's campus with everyone so eager to learn has also played a huge role in keeping me, as well as my peers, on task and successful students.

This is an exceptional school which does an outstanding job of encouraging young girls to perform well in everything they do.
