GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school is a prison pipeline. They did not care about our safety and our future was not a priority to them. Using low income youth was. The goal was to throw students into society ensureing they stay a low siceio economic status, or end up in jail, or dead after highschool. I feel the good reviews on here are fake. The people that work here are pathetic for the most part and they failed to keep us safe.

I was part of the EHS Gifted & Talented Academy which was the most phenomenal high school experience. Outstanding teachers. I was pushed to excel. Taught advanced courses. Got tons of AP credits for college.

There are several positive things about the school, such as having after-school homework help. With several clubs/sports programs to participate in you can always try something new. Additionally, there are several resources to assist you in preparing for college such as AVID or scheduled dates. The school staff are awesome as well. On the other side of the spectrum, I would say that it's a bit overcrowded. As we only have 5 minutes of passing period, students are usually in a bit of a rush to enter their classroom in time, even more so now as there's a new punishment introduced in the recent quarter that we have entered. The bathrooms during passing periods are often littered with people vaping, considering that the products have nicotine I don't believe discipline would quell the amount of people vaping in said bathrooms. This is a bit more generalized but I would to see students with standard classes be treated with less work as I often hear that as a complaint.

This school really supported my daughter who went on to a top Illinois college and my middle daughter who is a junior. The teacher’s care, sports and clubs are numerous and if student’s need support they get it! Go Maroons!

The teachers at the school often bully the kids. My student wasn't ready for college after 4 years and has to go to a junior college. The challenge is that so many kids are behind that the teachers have to spend time with those students, which drags everyone else down. The leadership is horrible. Th...
