Elk Grove High School is a small school in the northwest suburbs in comparison to other schools in the area, but they give it their all and do win at games sometimes. The teachers for the most part are very kind and willing to help. The food is not bad and there are vending machines with snacks and drinks. The classes are not too hard and they do their best to prepare you for college and even give chances for classes that will transfer to the local community college allowing for a head start at a college career.

There is a lot of bullying that goes unaddressed in this school. Worst of all if you have a child with a disability or an IEP they brush your kid under the rug. Not sure if it's that they are unequipped or just plain old, don't care about kids who are not the "regular norn". Depending on the teacher, some are invested, some could care less. It's the luck of the draw. I don't like this school but what weighs heavy on my heart, as a mom of a kid with different needs, my child is not safe from bullying and physical violence on almost a daily basis. It's been communicated but never addresses. If you can, go to a private school. This place is hell for my kid.

The school has great elective options and really opens doors to help students get their feet in the water when it comes to different career categories. Counseling services are not the best, but they are readily available. Teachers are really the best part of Elk Grove High School as most of them believe in their students.

As a current student at EGHS, I can confidently say that EGHS isn’t a terrible school, but it isn’t an amazing school either. The one big problem with EGHS is the TERRIBLE earned honors program. The way the earned honors program at EGHS works is that in certain classes (specifically English for fres...

There are too many smokers here, I can’t go to the bathroom because all the stalls are filled with smokers, sports are great though. School is okay.
