Jimtown has an amazing band program. There are 4 different types of band, all of which are loved by the students. The academics, however, could be better. The school does not really prepare its students for the future. Additionally, many of the teachers are not the most qualified. The students are nice for the most part.

The best thing about Jimtown High School is the community it has. The teachers are friendly and do their jobs well while the students and families tend to come together for all kinds of events surrounding the school and its students. I wish that the school had more resources, better college preparations, and more nutritional lunches.

Good, friendly atmosphere, offers a good amount of higher level classes. Sports are encouraged. But the mindset among most students when it come to academics is lazy at best.

Jimtown is and always will be my home. We teach values that other schools do not. When we played the Elkhart School system in the Jr league of football they showed their true colors. We moved to Jimtown from out of state. We were at a great school comparable in size. We were looking for a smaller system. Very disappointed in pretty much everything. There were a few good teachers but the education was subpar at best. The community doesn’t like outsiders much and sports and other...

Not a good school if you're looking for an education. Maybe in the future, with newer courses added, it would be worth looking into but until then, might want to look somewhere else.
