EHS is like all high schools in that you will get out what you put in. There will always be a mix of good teachers and bad. Admin need to do a better job of intervening when they teachers are not performing. Overall, many of relaxed and the academic rigor is not there. Many students report needing remedial courses in college.

This school was much better than others in the same county. When issues are brought up at Elkins High School, problems are actually handled.

Elkins High School was the perfect school for me in my small town but the education system is slowly declining. My classes weren't as advanced as I would have liked them to be but other than that the environment was great and I made some of my best friends there. As my senior year is coming to an end, I am thankful for the years I had there.
